Guidance of Use – (Please Read Care Guide Provided)
Preparation – The Cast Iron Pan must be prepared and seasoned before use. First clean the pan thoroughly to remove any manufacturers’ protective oil, rust and then dry completely.
How to Season – Now to season, coat the Cast Iron Cookware surface with a thin/thick layer of oil using a pastry brush or a cloth. After the Cast Iron Cookware surface is coated with oil, place above a medium-high heat hob/stove-top to burn the oil off (first time you do this you may see parts of the black surface begin to peel away, this is fine as sometimes a protective layer is added by manufacturer for safe transit). When the oil has burnt off, turn off the hob/stove-top and allow the cookware to naturally cool down. Once cooled down, wipe away any remaining oil with a paper towel.
Cleaning - Rinse the Cast Iron Cookware with warm water. Gently clean with a soft sponge and very mild detergent. Dry thoroughly and re-season if necessary when thoroughly clean ready for next use. It is best not to wash with any metal, harsh abrasive or very stiff cleanings pads/washing up brushes, or abrasive cleaning agents onANYpart of the cast iron surface. Stubborn stains can be removed using a suitable non-metallic scouring pad.
