 GUIDANCE & PREPARATION - This iron kadai is entirely handmade from traditional pure iron, therefore the surface will not be completely smooth & may contain marks/bumps. To attain optimum use of this iron kadhai, it should be prepared & seasoned before use (See Description On How To Prepare, Season & Clean). The surface does have an oil coating to protect the material as it is pure iron. Following the preparation tips, this oil coating will get removed and it will be ready to use.

 DEEP COOKING PAN – Traditionally known as a kadai and very similar to a wok is this cooking pan in a deep and wide rounded structure to let you cook sharing portions of tasty food. Rounded base will quickly spread heat and circulate evenly, as well as let you toss food so all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. It is an essential cookware piece for some master chef seasoned cooking!

 DURABLE HEAVY DUTY IRON – This karahi is crafted from durable heavy-duty iron, to provide steadiness, fast even heat distribution when on the stove and a long life cooking utensil. The more you season the iron surface, the more better and easier it will be to work with this karahi. As iron can tolerate high heat, you can cook on the hob and serve hot directly at the table with this kadai.

Guidance Of Use -

Preparation – The Kadai must be prepared and seasoned before use. First clean the kadai thoroughly to remove any manufacturers protective oil, rust and then dry completely.

How To Season - Now to season, heat the Kadai for a few minutes until its entire surface is hot. The first time you do this you may see parts of the black surface begin to peel away, this is fine as sometimes a protective layer is added by manufacturer for safe transit. With a cloth wipe on a thin layer of oil, then turn up the heat to burn it off, and let it cool down.

Cleaning - Rinse the Kadai with hot water. Gently lift off or scrub away food particles with a non metallic scrubber. Rinse, dry the surface and to finish drying, place over medium to high flame and 'burn', to sterilise it ready for your next cooking session. It is best not to wash with detergents, as it will take away all your hard work with seasoning.
